Europe's leading trade exhibition for the fastener and fixing industry, Fastener Fair Stuttgart, ended on February 24 and 2011 was the events biggest year to date. Attracting 667 exhibitors from 40 countries over an area covering 12,500 square meters, Fastener Fair Stuttgart played host to a showcase of a comprehensive range of products and services for the fastener and fixing industry. With some 8,300 visitors, an increase of 38% compared with the previous exhibition, the 2011 event broke all the records to become the largest ever.

As a regular exhibitor at the show, Lancaster Fastener Co Ltd was once again at the heart of this year’s proceedings. Demonstrating the service capabilities and high-quality products that make up the core of the business, Lancaster Fastener used the opportunity to establish and maintain business partnerships and, in-line with current expansion plans, further push the business into new markets. Having exerted a large marketing effort to developing potential relationships in Eastern Europe and North America in the run-up to the show, the event itself proved to be the pivotal showcase opportunity in developing these partnerships and Lancaster Fastener can now look forward to distributing to even further reaches of the Fastener world.

On the Lancaster Fastener stand this year was Managing Director Sam Wilson, Sales Manager Julia Robinson, European Sales Coordinator Sharon Ashcroft, Marketing Coordinator Lee Procter, Marketing Assistant John Barton and Commercial Director Bill Jambor. ’It was a hugely successful show for all sides of the business’ explains Managing Director Sam Wilson, ‘having a presence from all corners of our operations allows us to develop many aspects of our business in such a compressed time-frame. With significant developments achieved in all of our commercial functions, the show has undoubtedly been a success for our business.’

Having benefited from a vast increase in size availability throughout recent years, Lancaster Fastener has launched a new hard copy Stock List 2011 [Click Here] and used the exhibition as a promotional platform. Marketing Coordinator Lee Procter was on-hand to promote the new booklet to the buying attendees of Stuttgart. ‘Our new Stock List 2011 has seen the introduction of over 70 new sizes to our existing ranges and brand new products that had yet to be available from Lancaster Fastener. We set out to ensure that the Stock List had a real easy-to-use focus to ensure the maximum efficiency for our customers, so as well as stocked size listings, box quantities and all the details needed to contact Lancaster, customers will also find full technical data and virtually everything else they need to consider when entering into the buying process. By placing a large emphasis on ease-of-use, we hope to make the buyers decision making process as short and as hassle free as possible.’ The new Stock List certainly has been received well with a ‘significant amount’ of copies requested at the Stuttgart show.

As ever, Fastener Fair Stuttgart is a prime opportunity for identifying potential new customer bases and 2011 was no exception for Lancaster Fastener. The constant flow of visitors on the stand indicated a real level of excitement developed by the Lancaster brand. 2011 was certainly the busiest year on-stand to date, with over 100 visitors gracing the custom-built stand and in excess of 300 of the recently published 2011 Product Range Overviews distributed throughout the 3 days.
